Best place for tempreture probes

Hi Guys,

I've rescently just finished building my PC, and the last piece was a Aerocool V12XT Fan Controller which supports 4x Fans and 4x Temp probes for (CPU,HDD,VGA and SYS). My question is where in the best place for these probes so I can get close to accurate reading, most of the information I've come across on the web seems 10 years out of date and would do more damage then good.

If anyone could give me advice I would really appreciate it,

In the bin. If we see you fit them anywhere in your case we will all bannish you to the nub corner.

Thanks for your words of wisdom, I did get this case and CPU Fan based on your reviews which I found to be very informative. Anyway I just wanted the advice so if the temps are high the fan speeds up at load and down again at idle, I know I've got good airflow because I set it up to have Negative air pressure with 2x 140mm at the front (intake), 1x 140mm at the back and 180mm in the roof. If there is another way of doing this then I'm all ears.
