Best motherboard for me?

Need a new motherboard for my system, currently sitting on these specs:

i7 2600K
8GB kingston hyper-X
GTX670
corsair GS700

bearing in mind im getting more ram so want quad channel memory and possible room for a second 670
But im only getting a Medium size case. (sharkoon T9)
Price range is from roughly £90-£120/£130 max.

thanks :D

2600k does not support quad channel memory. You would need socket 2011 for that.

Look up the MSI Z77A G45. It's the best board for around £90 by a mile. Crossfire, SLI, SATA III and USB3. Nothing comes close.

sorry can you explain what you mean mean by quad channel memory? you don't mean 4 sticks of ddr3? you mean 4 different channels of 2 sticks? I'm kind of a newbcake.

MSI Z77a-GD55 or GD65 would be easy enough for a motherboard.
and SLI ready for your GPU selection.
do you have the case, yet?

I can support that statement.

In very rough terms: The CPU uses a memory channel (basically a
connection) to access the RAM modules. If you take four channels and
connect each channel to one individual RAM stick, the CPU can access
all four RAM modules in parallel. Same principle with dual channel, triple
channel etc.

However, you can also connect more than one module on one channel.
Hence the 4 sticks of RAM on dual channel 1155 boards, 6 slots
for triple channel on 1366 boards and 8 slots for quad channel on 2011
(although some boards have only 4) motherboards.

Obviously, this brings performance benefits. For more on the subject,
see here.

Also good suggestions, I personally have the GD65 (not very long yet though)
and only done some testing and am so far quite happy with it.

Thanks all your help so far guys, i think ill get one of those motherboards as you guys all say its the best one for the price :D

You dont need anything above the G45 if you dont want to do serious overclocking. And even if you choose to oc, the GD45 is a nice entry level overclocker board that wont limit you if you dont wanna go above something like 4,5 Ghz.

Quad channel memory in the exact term is four lanes of memory. It's a technology used on socket 2011 motherboards.

X58 (LGA 1366) used triple channel however all of the boards your chip will fit in only support dual channel (but yes you can use 4 dimms).
