Best GPU for budget

780 then :)
with a 4k monitor ;)

You seem to like listing future specs that you dream to have...

May be worth looking at prices of 4K monitors atm...

I only speculated they'd come down in price next year - nothing's official...

As for the 780 - it isn't out, it hasn't been announced...
For all we know it could be like Bulldozers and give us less performance than the 6xx series...
You can't really have proper opinions on anything until you've seen something at least about them...

There is nothing wrong with thinking about what upgrade to make in the future, I've had my 580 for a long time now so I'm thinking about upgrading to whatever comes after the 6xx, and nah, there is no way it is worse than 6xx.
+ In my situation (my mobo and cpu aren't working) I need to know what to buy so I dont regret it in the future, i mean whether to fix by computer for about $400 (ssd + mobo + cooler) and get x58 components and wait till haswell or just get ivy bridge now and wait till 2014 to make an upgrade which is most likely what is going to happen.

I'm not debating what you need now...

I'm just saying don't speculate about products in the future when they haven't been announced.
I don't get how you can say the 780 is going to be good, but say in another thread 'I don't like Haswell'.
It makes no sense. What's stopping the 780 being worse than the 680? What's stopping Haswell from being 30% better than Ivybridge?
...Nothing.
You just can't make statements about things that haven't been announced.

What if nvidia get sued by Apple and go bankrupt? :p

I said I don't like haswell because Intel themselves said it is made for Mobile Computing which means a cooler, maybe slower, cpu thats not for gaming.
6xx is better then 5xx, 5xx is better then 4xx so what makes 7xx worse? + I might go for 670 SLI if the prices drop, this all depends on what ACTUALLY comes out in 2014 :D

It's not made for mobile computing specifically.

They aren't deliberately going to make something massively efficient just so it saves on power bills at the cost of performance...

But again - nothing has been announced so we can't speculate...
All I'm saying is, stop saying what products you're going to get in 2014, because that's 2 years away! and thing's change a lot in 2 years

I didn't know freedom of speech isn't allowed around here, sorry.
I'm bored of thinking/talking about PC's anyway.
