Best gaming mouse?

i need a new mouse, so i was wondering what the people here think are the best ones. i hear the logitech G5 and razerbacks are probably two of the biggest players.

Your opinion is welcome.

It's a bit funny you mentioned G5, because i'm using 1 at the moment :D . Don't know much about Razer mouse, but strongly recomend you G5. For me: best mouse ever my hand has felt, 10 out of 10 :D . O man, such a speed :O .

EDIT: As Mav mentioned, G7 should be good as well, but i prefer G5 because i don't like cordless mice :D .

I own a razer (diamondback).

Basically,

Logitech: Fit hand, larger size

Razer: Like an old £3 logitech shape, but sleeker, doesnt fit my hand at all, infact 2 fingers and thumb hang off the side of it. Probably quicker as less weight on mouse. Oh and for me atleast the sidebuttons are awkwardly placed.

So its your choice really, whether you like the mouse holding your hand or not really. Next time might go logitech, but really a mouse depends on your hand size.

ohhh thanks for your info guys, looks like i may be going G5, my hands ar'nt small and i dont want a wireless one.

My other mouse is the MX700 - tis a good un too - but apparently for gaming you need 1200dpi.

Personally I just like the newer ones coz teh lazers re more forgiving on different surfaces.

I have the razer diamondback and wouldnt trade it for anything else. Its sleek and easy to use and tbh i dont have small hands, the side buttons are un-usable though but thats not a problem because i have no intentions of using them.

Advent 1600dpi laser mouse for £30 lol. Logitech copy and performs the same as my mates Logitech laser mouse if not better.

Can't argue with £30 really.
