Ok my Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard has taking a beating and the wrist rest has broke off and it keeps slipping about. Not good in the middle of clan matches, so what should I get?

Requirments:

Media buttons (Play, pause, forward track & back track)

Around 8 button that can be programed to open apps

Volume (Mute, up & down)

Wrist rest

Please can you tell me why u think a certain keybaord is good, i.e. responsive keys etc.

Thanks,

saitek gamers keyboard. Not the full eclipse, but the one with the separate pad.

Although the eclipse is cooler i dk if it have programmable buttons.

razer tarantula i had the g15 but this is much more comfy , much better since it has anti ghosting , i has the media buttons and stuff

I have a apple pro keyboard, prob not considered a 'gamers' (or gimmicky) keyboard.

It's my second apple pro keyboard and it's the best keyboard I've ever used as the action of the keys is much nicer and smoother than other keyboards I've used, also the shape and size of it is just right.

I never use extra keys on keyboards, also they seem to require the running of software in the background. The Apple Pro Keyboard's extra keys I guess are the volume ones, the cd eject one and F14-F16.

Another advantage of the apple pro keyboard is it has 2xUSB ports on it which come in handy for USB memory and also plugging in your mouse instead of having the mouse wire trailing under the desk.

I would guess macro's might be an advantage, but you can get software to setup macro's on any keyboard anyway. Or on cs:s etc you can just script a custom bind. Which is why I don't see any point in spending £40+ just on a keyboard.

I really like my Eclipse II but it lacks the extra buttons you want.

I remember liking the Microsoft keyboards "Feeling" better than the Logitech ones. The keys just felt better to me. Although I use a Logitech diNovo for my mods (just looks so cool)

Ok been looking @ the Reclusa, and with the macro keys, could you program one key to open several apps with one press? For example MSN, Xfire, Winamp?

When I exit a game I have to press 3 buttons to launch all these. This would sway me to get a keyboard with macros, as i am lazy.
