Best cases at the moment?

All the cases right now are far to bloody plasticy. Silverstone and corsair need to bring out new versions of the tj07 and 800d that are relatively affordable.

Yeh. I wish they would release a 850D with like roof 120.0, rear 120.2, floor 120.2 and the same front as the 650D.

But we are stuck with things like this in the world >> http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-000-TL&campaign=pcm/googleshopping

errr that's lovely ;)

EDIT - they could have at least tried not to make it look like another case was shoved on the top of it - reminds me of:

Back when I was first getting into PCs etc. I liked a case quite similar to that. I was so set on getting it for ages, running myself through little mock ups of how it would look on my desk etc.
So yeah, it's an ugly piece of $£*& and I would never let it in my house.
How times change :p

dude, i am doing this build ASAP. Same components we talked about, just different watercooling system. HELP ME FIND THESE COMPONENTS (wATERCOOLING) PLEASE?

im in pain right now, that looks so beast!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can do it neater than that, but the case is a 600t with a 200mm rad in he front and a 360mm in the roof.
The res looks crap to me. Be far better with a bay res and pump - especially in a case that constrictive of space

can you help me put together a watercooling system for a 680 2gb and an i7-3770k. I got andrews reccomandation of XSPC's rasa d5 kit, but i dont really want to spend that much money, and it doesnt have the best of aesthetics. I want a sexy reservoir, like the one in the pic ;)

i will be working with the CM storm-trooper, try to mod it later on and get an acrylic see-through door, that would be beast.

Why a 680 and 3770k? What are you using this PC for? And do you already have these parts? If so can you link me to the graphics card - if not - we may need to change a few things :)

nope. i have £1600 and im still deciding on parts.

It's for gaming and over clocking.

give me ur opinion on what i should get, as in components.

For gaming - lose the i7. Drop to a 3570k i5. You will see no performance difference whatsoever between the two in gaming.
There's 5% performance difference between the 670 and 680...yet the 680 is 25% more expensive, so you may as well get the 670.
If you're watercooling the graphics card, get the EVGA 670 FTW, as it uses a 680 PCB so it's easy to watercool.
Motherboard - I'd go for an MSI Z77a-GD65.

If you insist on the Storm Trooper - you'll have to mod it in order to fit the radiator.
Other options would be the NZXT Switch 810

I agree with evreything you just said, however i want to game 1440p resolution(this is where it complicates things for watercooling) so will i need more vram, and instead get the 670 4GB wich i think has no waterblock.

i had the switch 810 in mind...

Ok, so what do i do about the graphics?

and thanks for the info about the processor, saved me £100!

The 2gb 670 will still be fine for 1440p. You only really need the 4gb when running the 3 screens with 1 card. Can always add another 670 after if you feel the need to, but I assure you you wont.

I'd probably say if you didnt go for the kit andrew suggest specifically - buy the majority of the parts eparately and just get better fittings, fans and tubing.
You should be looking at:
XSPC Raystorm cpu block - http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...lock-for-Intel--RayStorm-Intel-pid-14598.html
XSPC RX360 - http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...es-360mm-Triple-Radiator--RX360-pid-7875.html
D5 vario pump - http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...-Single-Edition-Pump--VPP655SE-pid-13118.html
XSPC Razor 680 - http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...-GTX-680-Graphics-Card--Copper-pid-15904.html

Then depending whether you want a bay res:
http://www.specialtech.co.uk/spshop...-ONE-Laing-D5-Pump-New-Product-pid-15903.html

or any tube res.

Then the fittings and hose you want. You can probably see this is becoming quite expensive

your right, i might aswell go with the d5 kit -.-

cant i just add an extra tube reservoir for aesthetics or would that be too much for the pump to handle?

and how come specialtech is much cheaper than other websites? Do they charge alot for delivery?
