Best case for 60mm rad + more

I am looking for a case that can support at least a 240 60mm rad + 1 set of fans in the roof, while also having good airflow (such as a side fan) for my gpu's. I have been searching for a while but can't seem to find one suitable.

The Fractal Arc Midi is an option but it is a bit too small and not enough optical drive bays.

Another one is the bitfenix colossus, it looks like one of the few that will fit a 60mm + fans in the top with ease but it doesn't have very good airflow.

What other cases are there? Not interested in anything insanely expensive. Also the option of more rad space in the bottom/front would be nice as well as I will probably end up watercooling my gpu(s)

Here is my current setup which is a coolermaster cosmos s. It's hard to see in the picture because of the metal bar but I can only fit one fan on the rad ( the right one) as the 8pin power location prevents me from adding the other

Switch 810 won't fit I don't think, I remember checking the review on youtube by ttlc. It seems to have the same space as the cosmos s so I'll run into the same problem with the 8 pin.

Is that with the fans 'outside' the case? I want them on the underside exhausting air from the case while pushing it through the rad.

Yes but the second set of fans is 'outside' the case so it makes no difference. The radiator is attached to the top of the case either way.

Oh, I now see what you mean.
Even if you have the fans 'outside' the case pulling air out, it's going to be acting as an exhaust, so what's the problem?

I can do that now with my cosmos s, temps are higher. The radiator is so thick it needs air being pushed through it. I could have the fans on top pushing air into the case but then it adds extra dust and I need more exhausts, not intake :)

Maybe you are thinking of push+pull being a small bit better. From my experience pushing through the rad is better than just pulling.

push+pull > push > pull

The search continues.. :) What do you think of the bitfenix colossus?

I have a 420mm rad 65mm thick with fans in push pull on my 810 yes the top fans are outside the case but thats where they are designed to be. if you have the under fans pushing thru the rad the top fans will pull assisting the push fans (airflow same direction) I dont see what the issue is. Yes one fan is blocked a tad by the optical bay but the matte black and gun metal cases have holes to allow air so no modding needed. I still need to mod my optical bays been lazy but I dont see any huge temps without it being cut.

I can do that setup with my current case though, I want to upgrade because I have had this since 2007 and would like to get one without this issue (as it is something that has annoyed me with the cosmos s)

Could you upload a picture? I don't want to run push pull just push, I know the pull fans are meant to be outside the case, that's not the problem though. Its the distance between the 'top' of the case and the motherboard.

well mate no case is going to change that for ya I mean a 240mm 60mm thick rad in case A with the same components with most likely give the same results in Case B you might see a difference depending on intake airflow but as far as a roof mounted rad goes there isnt much you can do. If you simply want a case to move the fans inside the switch will do it with ease yes its close to the 8pin but not so close ya cant work with it. Besides the 810 comes with a individually sleeved 8pin extension you can plug it in feed thru hole in case and then connect to psu 8pin super easily

pics in my sig click the Switch Blade link lo but heres one

Here is a picture which shows the problem easier. I think you can fit the fan there because your motherboard has a slightly different layout.

more recent pics it will be close and as I said my rad is 65mm thick not 60mm the 810 has 85mm of room from bottom of roof to top of mobo the cosmos has less room
