best budget motherboard for i7 2600

G'day,
I'm currently working on rebuilding my friend's horrible acer pc (basically this) into a gaming machine as everything runs at sub 30fps currently. Yes even terraria lags.

The only bit I am going to be using from it is the i7 2600 and the hard drive. I'm going to be honest, I don't know anything about intel motherboards and as such I really need some help finding a good, cheap motherboard (~£80 )that will enable him to use the zotac 670 that was ordered today. Obviously I will not be overclocking it as I don't like messing around with non k processors and in terms of size, it does not matter although I think it could be neat to go for smaller sized build as in it's current state it is quite small.

Any help will be appreciated as usual :).

Does it need USB3? Sata 6 for SSDs? How many USB/Sata ports? Legacy PCI support?

Could always go m-ITX and use the CM Elite 120. That's an epic (and very compact) case for 35 quid. Would go m-ATX if he wants to go SLI/ add a sound card/ WiFi card later.

To be fair, I doubt he'll need to go Sli before a completly new set up. USB 3 isn't needed, he won't have a SSD due to budget and the elite 120 is an excellent shout :D. Isn't there an elite 130 coming out soon or something along those lines?

Yes, it's an excellent little case and very cheap too! Have not heard of a 130 yet but there's always Google, ehh? ;)

Done a quick search for you here with your requirements. Ended up with this list:

Up to you(r friend) to decide which one he likes best and how much he wants to spend but even the cheapest in this list offers pretty much all he needs. Anything above the ASRock B75M-ITX (second in the list) is just bonus.
