I just built a new system and was wondering what the best free benchmarking tools are for CPU and GPUs? Also I could use some advice for the best anti-virus and anti-spyware programs are. Any suggestions on software I should download will help me.

OCCT for CPU,never tried cinebench, r15 version is out though so get it over r11.5. Always good to have an additional benchmark suite.

For GPU i use Heaven. Tried Valley and it was buggy as hell for me even at stock clocks/volts. It did work but only sometimes.

AV are still important Pr3d4tor. Most people still use Internet Explorer for crying out loud... if you use that then it is a must to use an AV. Also most people have no clue how to use a computer safely and properly so it is for the mass audience who still needs an effective system of defense..

I use Bitdefender 2014 Total Security. Buy it off ebay for cheap and can get a 3 pc 2 yr verison for next to nothing compared to buying other places. Cool thing about it is that even though the license is limited to "3 users" i can still put it on as many systems i want and all will be activated and work properly; in addition you can upgrade to the newest version every year with the same license and save money. Very awesome!
