Best all in one solution?

Exaggeration much..

Talking our of your arse much?

I've used Norton in the past, my hatred is not unfounded.... I've also had to sort out people's systems who've installed Norton.. it's just bloatware. Complete rubbish.

Just last week I had to tell my brother to get rid of Norton.....

He was complaining that his machine is getting unbearably slow.....I asked what programs have you got.....He rambled a lot of unused programs and norton.....

I almost slapped him.

Oooo
Well it's never done me any wrong so I can't say anything bad about it other than it slows your system down when doing a scan. But then its just a case of setting it to auto-scan at a time that suits you (when your at work or something).

Just keep your system clean to start, anything slows down once you start filling it with junk.

Exactly![/B] you're making my point for me, why would you recommend something that you know slows your stuff down?

Becuase its only when scanning so I just set it to scan at another time. Like my PS3 scans for patches at 12-2pm when I'm not in, so I can use it then without it having to download data before playing a game.

There isn't an actual 'best' security software, its just personal preference right?

I'd say it depends on PC specs as well....

Personally I've run Avast for years alongside Malwarebytes.

I've used Avast before, seemed to do okay but it seemed too 'simple'. I've used McAfee, if I remember right that wasn't so good, and I've used just the basic Windows Bit Defender and stuff. I would really just not bother with any (except Microsoft's built in stuff) but like I said I only use about ten daily websites so I shouldn't ever stumble across anything dodgy.

Ok well I reinstalled Windows, reinstalled "BetterDesktopTool" (OS X like Expose for Windows) which put that Delta crap back on my machine. I installed Avast and Malwarebytes which removed that stuff and all seems to be well now. THANKS!

I would still prefer an all in one solution though!

You don't need MWB it's just there to clean up the shit your main AV did not find. And trust me.. it will find something(maybe not after it cleans everything up already).

avg free used it for years on all the devices at home never really had a problem. Unless your getting random torrents and downloading 'certain things' you should be all dandy.
