best 7850?

days ago and it overclocked like the bee's knees. and from what i have seen gigabyte windforce cards don't perform that well

its the same chip on all cards.what do you by they don`t perform that well pls explain.as for oc ,silicon lottery is true for every brand

different pcb? else we could all stick to reference cards and just buy an aftermarket cooler. silicon lottery applies for all brands, but you can increase your odds with some brands because the pcbs are better.

so would you say that the asus 7850 dcu2 2gb is a pretty solid card that will perform well especially in a water loop?

not sure if it is worth it to put a 7850 in a waterloop, but TTL used DCII cards in his orca build. so yea, pretty solid cards.

well ill be keeping this card until the 8000 series get released so it'll get alot of use in the waterloop so in theory for the time it'll be used it'll be worth it...

i think ill get the asus card then cuz everyone has said good things about it

thats the one that i was looking at tbh mate mite be a stupid question but do you know if the v2 model of that uses the same pcb and if the block would still fit it?

I am almost certain that it does, I think they just updated it and released it as a v2

the v2 only has higher stock clocks and in the case of the 7950 a different cooler. don't know if that applies to the 7850 as well.

from a quick search all ive managed to find out is that it has higher clocks and it also has a different back plate on it with different outputs
