Best 24" 120hz monitor

I'm looking for a great 24" monitor too. Must have a height adjustable stand. I'd go for the 120Hz option for the image stability. I've not bought into the 3D glasses thing.

I'd recommend the ASUS VG236HE (HE has no glasses, "H" model has).

Fully adjustable height, swivels, decent price too.

Now the Alienware one is probably the best, but depends on your budget.

The BenQ one isn't all that, its decent though. Been a fair few problems people have had with it though. Not sure on the build quality over time, but this is something like a flagship model for BenQ.

The BenQ seems to have issues. Someone wrote 'There isn't any such thing as the best 3D monitor, they all have issues'. Although this could be said to all things, I think it's particularly applicable to 3D monitors. The Alienware 24" still seems to be top the bunch and that monitor is old! Seems strange to me there have been so few 3D monitor releases. If this truely is BenQ's flagship, one might think they might have spent some time calibrating the image. Reviews suggest an hours setup out of the box is required, just to get an acceptable image. Also it doesn't seem to have this control when placed into FPS mode.

I wish 120Hz without 3D was more common, there wouldn't be the stupid 3D hype pushing up the prices. While 3D might not be stupid, the price increase most certainly is

Well I've ordered all the stuff for my GF's new rig at last

Eventually decided on the Benq. Not great, but there's so little choice in the 120Hz monitor world. Things haven't changed much at all since the AW2310 arrived almost 2 years ago

Ah, do tell us whether you have to calibrate the image at all, I don't think the latest revisions have the issue, but let's see

Enjoy
