So, I just bought a TX, and I am rather pleased with it. The 24" is great, and the stand that it comes with is AWESOME! The last high end monitor that I bought had a horrible frame, and I ended up spending another $50 for a good replacement. This stand is already built into the price. Sorry, this isn't supposed to be a review, it's just that I like the monitor, and I want to keep it, but I do have one issue so far...
It is supposed to be 3D ready, with the 3D sensor built in, and the 3D glasses included. I don't have a 3D capable GPU (it's in the mail), so I can't test the 3D out on my PC.
I do however have a XBox 360 (not one of the newer ones - still just the older white ones), and a copy of Black Ops, which supports side by side 3D. I have my 360 connected via HDMI, and have the 3D option in the game turned on. It displays two images (side by side mode). So, from there, I thought plugging in the glasses to the monitor, turning them on via the button on the left side, and setting the monitor to "HDMI 3D Side By Side" mode would turn on the 3D capabilities, but nothing happened - the image just stayed as it was with two overlapping images.
I have read that some were having issues with the built in 3D on this monitor. Am I having the same issues, or am I just missing one of the steps along the way? I would hate to RMA this monitor.
So, does anyone have any advice for me? Thanks!
