its in Norwegian but you get a idea

From that picture you uploaded it looks like it is picking up a General PnP monitor, mine states I have a BenQ XL2420T (Digital) where yours says Generisk PnP-skjerm, cannot read Norwegian though :p.

Trying to remember what I did to get mine picked up, possibly I just unplugged and re-plugged it into the dvi port on my pc to try make it re-pick up the hardware again. I do however remember it was a pain in a** till I got it working lol.

A possible cause for this happening can be that you are not using the dual-link dvi cable, so double check on that, and does your gpu have another div port you can try as some can be single link while the other is a dual link port.

I'm on the AMD 5850 card and you can go into the Catalyst driver and there try and detect the display too in Common Display Tasks > Detect Displays.

Let us know how you get on, and if you have no luck post up your pc spec too in your next post.

Good luck.

got it to work it was a switch on the side of the video card that opened for dual link dvi, who would have thought that, but thanks for your help anyway
