Bennywidags storm stacker

Dont know if anyone wants to delete my thread in air cooled, but here is my rig updated to water.

As you know it is a P4 550 which i previously managed to get to 3.9ghz with the stock multiplyer, but with 50+ degrees idle.

I decided to get watercooling so i could pump more volts through it stably and hopefully get a higher clock.

Kit i used:

Swiftec storm G4

Thermochill 120.3 rev 2

Dangerden bayres

Polarflo tt d4 pump (cheers stocky)

polarflo tt vga block " ------------"

now two akasa fan control pros, as i have 18 fans

at the moment running fully stable at 4.097 gig, ram at 602mhz, 1.5125 volts, probably not necessary. hoping to get a lot higher clock, either by more fsb in this config, or lowering the multiplyer to 14 and going for a high fsb. i got 288 on air, though 277 stable.

the cabling is a hell of a lot neater than in the other gallery, hid everything behind the mobo, and it looks a lot neater, kudos to you lot for that

lol made me laugh, why ya need 18!

3 on rad, 2 to 3 for the case?

anyway looks good mate, got any higher res pics of the loop at all man?

i have high res, but when i upload to photobucket, it is resized. fans are:

3 rad fans, noiseless

2 ramflow fans, conrtolled as one

2 akasa led 120mm's, controlled

1 titan 92mm, controlled (side panel)

1 vantec gpu hsf, controlled

2 akasa ambers, controlled

1 coolermaster cross flow, controlled

1 uncontrolled akasa amber

2 uncontrolled abit 40mm motherboard, reasonably noisy

1 uncontrolled northbridge, not noisy

2 psu 80mms, controlled by psu, and quiet

18 in total

pump is the noisyest thing, but that is being modded to quiet it a bit

abit aa8xe fatal1ty mobo, recommended for lga 775 if you dont want dual core

2x512 corsair 5400 pros, happily ran at about 740 mhz effective when i lowered the multiplyer.

seagate 7200.8 barracuda 200gb

crud sony dvd-rom

6800 ultra, though is buggered and cant get it to work, gives this and wont be recognised in 3dmark etc, cant run any games.

and this is a screenie, showing that it must be the grahpics in my view, as it is fine here. anybody know how to fix, i reckon the core is buggered

Looks like you might have knocked off a surface capacitor or resistor. Give the PCB a quick going over and see if it looks like anything's missing. Otherwise it may be the core...

yeah, have done but i cant see anything untoward, the core thing itself has TIM all over it, twice the area of the core itself is covered. i have got most of it off now with tim cleaner/ cloth but some still there

unfortunatly not, as i bought it off a mate who has now not been on the forum where he was super mod for 2 months, due to a operation, adn thus very hard to contact.
