A little bit about me:
My name is Rasmus and live a few kilometers outside a town called Silkeborg in the heart of Jutland in Denmark.
I work as an apprentice in small company thats makes all kinds of different machines for companys in and outside Denmark. In my spare time of use this machine shop for making my ln2 and dice pots.
First experience with computers:
My very first experience was with my dads work pc back when i was 3 years old. I later got my own pc that i played all kinds of different games on.
When did I start overclocking? :
Back in 2005 when i bought a new AMD Athlon 3500+ powered pc. I thougt i as getting a bit slow so i did some researching and found out that i could tune my pc and i just thought GREAT
D) and i have overclocked ever since.
What’s my favourite platform for overclocking? :
Got to be LGA1366. I have spend so many hours on that socket and been through so many motherboards and cpu's that i have lost count.
Did my very first ln2 bench session on a Rampage III Extreme and I7 920 sadly the cpu died shortly after but luckyli i got the money back and bought a 980X from a friend of mine that had already been tested.
It did a 6500 MHz suicide run with 1.88 volt and was bench stable at 6340 MHz so not a bad cpu. I did manage to get my hand on a golden I7 970 just before i switch to LGA1155.
It is still the fastest I7 970 cpu ever found.
What's your favorite part about overclocking?:
I kinda hard for me to point one thing out because i love it all. Of course there is the bad days where all the hardware goes up in smoke but what i fell in love with was the modding and tweaking part of overclocking with solder mods and tweaking the crap out of the OS.
What's your favorite benchmark?:
I have always been more of a 3D bench guy so i love benching 3dmark01. It's the tweakers benchmark that sometimes requires weeks of benching just to get one single good result.
Plans for the future regarding HWBot?:
Being more active. I have cut down on bench sessions in the past few years because of other interests that costs quite a lot more when overclocking:lol:
But i'm slowly getting up to speed again and hopefully i will be benching with ln2 again in 2013.
That's all i have to share
