Still the same in source though I must say I've made some pretty amazing shots with the duallies. Lots of practice makes perfect with duallies.

Biggest thing to remember is to shoot slowly, the shot pattern on them is terrible over about 2 rounds per second.

I do understand that.

What happens is I get a bead on a target I swing just past it with the mouse, swing just past it again and overcompensate and by that time the other guy shoots me.

I'm not really that bad, btw. I'm usually top / average on DoD and BF2.

I just can't compete against some players.

Quake 4 - /me wants a good friendly server

Last night I looked up what it takes to install a q4 dedicated server on a linux box and it wasn't pretty. The whole game has to be uploaded to the server which is the first shitty part. And then from there it gets a bit easier bit q4 is a huge game. Why don't these damn game companies make dedicated server software that's compact and easy to setup? Bah, stupid feckers.

We've got the bases covered for CSS in the server department. I think it would be fun to have a few more non-source servers up with em though.

Same as me mate! I've been playin for about 2 weeks. It's a good concept and good game when the sides are even, but the engine is so crap compared to source!!! The server browser is the biggest piece of arse going too, can't copy or paste WTF???

I'd be up for either a BF2 or DOD:S server..... I don't have the other 2

I've been playing BF2 quite a bit as a few of the guys I work with are on there. It doesn't agree with my machine at all and jerks quite a bit on medium settings . I'm getting 2GB of some decent RAM and hope that it will be sorted out. It will also keep my rig future proof!

But yeah in the 2 weeks i been playing it - Good concept, all the rest is arse. :bootyshak I read this little piece of news from tweakguides.com and it is sooo true:

In an effort to rake in even more cash from the Battlefield franchise, EA are releasing two new expansion packs - neither of which is free: one is Euroforce, and the other is Armored Fury. You can read more about them here. More importantly, EA says "we are of course still utterly devoted to providing updates for Battlefield 2". This sign of their devotion really brought a tear to my eye - so devoted are they that 8 months after the game was released they're only just now beta testing a 1.2 Patch which addresses major concerns raised by players many months ago, like the overwhelming superiority of airpower and problems with Stinger missile lock-ons, "Dolphin diving", "Prone spamming", jumping and shooting at the same time. Fingers crossed this much-anticipated 1.2 Patch comes out before Battlefield 3 comes out and starts the whole cycle of Buy, Wait, Patch all over again...
