i was eventually able to play again later in the evening so it was ok. But the results never showed up like they did on day 1.
as for the upgrading:
you get to buy stuff with war bonds, but you also rank up and unlock more things to buy..
i really dont like the unlocking and getting weapons and stuff.. Im a big fan of rpg's and so on but a FPS "IMO" should be you get these guns to chose from
(rifle, machine gun, sniper, sub machine gun) + a pistol and some form of melee weapon and then you can have one of the following:
(explosives/medical supplies/extra ammo/some sort of grenade)
and thats it.
then you should have area hit box multipliers no health bar or Regen, head shot = you die. leg shot = you limp. arm shot = you cant aim properly. some one with a med kit can fix that stuff for you.
accumulated damage still kills you (2 -3 chest shots or multiple arm or leg shots)
And that should be it..
dont need a health bar to regen, dont need leveling up to unlock stuff, dont need special armour that makes you impervious.
Just keep it simple..
I do like the ranks and squad system, its good when your squad leader and the rest of the squad attack the target you recommend. and i like how it is beneficial to the squad to follow the order as they gain points from it..
but i am disappointed that first person shooters have gone down this road.
