Battlefield 1's Beta supports DirectX 12 on PC

Got mine this morning as well but cannot play it till I get my pc sorted, hopefully the bit turns up today so I can get to testing it and finding out if I need to RMA my board or CPU.

Sorry to hear that, hope you get it sorted soon.

I delided my 6700k and sh#t my self a little when doing so. No future RMA for me if it ever goes belly up.

Got my code this morning. I set it downloading before I left for work so that'll be ready for a session tonight.

Of course Nuka World just came out for Fallout 4 so I want to reinstall that and mod it ready for my first proper Survival run too (haven't played since Far Harbor released); too many things and not enough time!

just played 40 mins worth which for me is something extrodinary as i had boycotted ea for years..
Still with every other company being just as bad now i went back..

i must say i enjoyed the 40 mins. Frame rates were great. only gliitched in to 1 or 2 things "expected at this stage i guess" Found it pretty difficult which suprised me as i used to be in a competitive fps team, although i guess that would be about 10 years ago now and i havent really been playing fps.

Still really enjoyed what i played. didnt get to experience much of the building destruction stuff theres quite a lot going on and your a bit busy for that sort of stuff..

Any hoo i enjoyed it. possibly because i havent played a fps in years and i used to love them.
I have stuff to do today but il be going back on there later no doubt.
i will need more play time to give a definitive verdict but im verging on "good game go buy it" kind of verdict after 40 mins.

De-lidded my 4790k, and it dropped around 20c per core of it.

Got a 6850K now and at 3.6Ghz with 1.2v it's hitting over 80c per core, under a 360mm rad but need to have a proper play with it.

Hopefully I will find out later today or tomorrow at some point what's going on.

Looking forward to being able to try this beta out though as most of the people I use to play games with on the PC want me to come back to gaming with them but, they only play BF4 which is just garbage for me.

I dropped a similar amount and it also evened out the four core temps within 2-3 degree's at stress. Used to be between 5-10 degrees across the cores. Ive tried and used clu and clp, preferred clp as it dropped a further 1-2 degrees. I believe clp also doesn't suffer from drying out from what I've read. I'm the same as you with B4, not a fan. Once was a hard core COD man, Started to loose the love after COD4. Loving CS:GO, even came top 3 times (with no bots), not bad for a 48 year old Grandad:D

not really getting any benifit in dx12 vs 11 with my gtx780..
Still not an issue really. 1080p all on high at 50% i stay above 60fps in dx12 was a bit better in dx 11 i think but its fine like this.:)

p.s never been a member of a beta thing before.
am i supposed to report anything to some one?

If you applied to be a Battlefield Insider before August 21st you get early access.

We did have an article on it when that was announced.

The beta will be public on August 31st.

Same goes for me on this one, I believe open betas is more for last testing before their final release?...

To be real honest, I will probably not like the game so if the code is of any use to someone and Mr Logan agrees, I could PM him my code and he can giveth to whom he see's fit? I knoweth no one here well enough to just willy-nilly it out?

The beta opens worldwide tomorrow anyway and doesn't hold any real world value so feel free to PM it to someone if you want. Chrazey perhaps as he's shown interest.

Played about 45 minutes, so far so good. Kind of feels like battlefront, but with WW1 equipment/guns/tanks/planes tbh

Then I went to look at the price...

Where the actual Grade-A f*ck do EA get off on charging 49.99 for standard and another 39.99 on top of that for premium for games these days?

'Ultimate edition' 104.98...

Fair shout. If Chrazey PM's me I will send him the code and details that came with the email:)

That said, if there's anyone else got a key they don't want. Hit me up, one of my regular group could do with one.

Is it not linked to your origin account? I'll be surprised if ea haven't done something like that.
