No but it's the series and the series is awesome. Loved the campaigns, while plot was ok, it was great due to the characters. If they took BC2 and resold it as 3. I'd still buy it. I don't want them touching anything...

Yea but you and i both know they'll touch things and make them worse. I'd buy a BC2 remake with nothing but a few fixes in a heartbeat, but i know BC3 won't be that. Most of the devs involved have already left DICE, so if a new BC releases it will just have the name, none of the spirit of the franchise.

In terms of gameplay and squeezing money out of the franchise BF is just as bad, if not even worse than CoD. No idea why people keep getting hyped for cinematic trailers which don't represent the final product even in the slightest (them having the balls to call this a gameplay trailer makes me wonder why consumer rights activists aren't up in arms already). Instead you get half a game with gameplay balanced to equalize skill so nobody feels bad and loads of bugs which take DICE a year to take care of (remember the class-action lawsuit?) to make the game somewhat playable. It's like a cinematic trailer erases people's memory of past games.
But heck, the graphics are nice, hating on CoD is the cool thing to do and hypocrisy doesn't matter as long as you are in a collective, so RIP CoD.

Yea it has evolved into a steaming pile of garbage, what an achievement. BF3 vs BF4 vs BFH? One hell of an evolution, those games play nothing alike. If CoD was just a reskin of CoD4 every year it wouldn't be terrible, it would just be redundant. That game has evolved as well, also not for the better. Change doesn't imply that things get better.

Seeka has a point. COD and BF both are in more ways than not, yearly reskins. Yes in the beginning COD was an amazing franchise and they hit sky high with MW1. Ever since then they have used the same formula but tried to add minor enhancements that added another aspect of gameplay, but mostly has just been failure. BF isn't any better. They've just updated the engine a couple times and improved graphics and people just fall over for that stuff. BFBC2 imo was the last great BF game with BF3 being one of the better ones, but marked the start of rehashed crap.

BF1 has the chance to bring the series back, but if it's just another reskin/theme change like BFH then i'll lose all hope for it.

I asked for them to not label cinematic trailers as gameplay trailers because that's just blatantly wrong. I know what to expect from the gameplay, it's going to be the same old unrewarding trash.
