In terms of gameplay and squeezing money out of the franchise BF is just as bad, if not even worse than CoD. No idea why people keep getting hyped for cinematic trailers which don't represent the final product even in the slightest (them having the balls to call this a gameplay trailer makes me wonder why consumer rights activists aren't up in arms already). Instead you get half a game with gameplay balanced to equalize skill so nobody feels bad and loads of bugs which take DICE a year to take care of (remember the class-action lawsuit?) to make the game somewhat playable. It's like a cinematic trailer erases people's memory of past games.
But heck, the graphics are nice, hating on CoD is the cool thing to do and hypocrisy doesn't matter as long as you are in a collective, so RIP CoD.

The cinematic were indeed nice but when the live 64 player game play started I knew this game was going to be immense and it was! This will run sweet on my gtx 1080 - whenever my system finally arrives!

Infinite Warfare is a massive joke though. Actually, you could argue COD has been as much of a joke as anything DICE puts out, even if blops II is quite fun on occasion.

While this is going to be as much of a disappointment as Battlefront was (looks exactly the same imo) its not going nearly as off point as IW.

Oh yea, CoD is a joke and has been for years, i just can't stand it when people hate on CoD and then glorify a game which is just as flawed.

its the same thing everytime though. People get excited for whatever DICE squeezes out and then discover its a pretty game with amazing sound design that suffers from a lack of gameplay and sub indie-dev level netcode.

Noo no no no.... another game that will be released and then will only be half done, by the time they fix then it will be a year since release. DLC paradice.. After BF4 I said I would not pick up another BF game again....

I would give it a try IF it would be on sale some day. WHAT happened to the days in the 80´s when they released a game that was finished??? Now days all games are released half ass done. ANd the rest gets done with DLC´s.... AFTER you have payed 50e for the full game...

Cant undestand whey people get so excited from a trailer when WE ALL KNOW - ALL OF US - that it wont be like this in real life game play WHEN its launched...

Took CoD one sub par entry to make everybody hate them. DICE has been pulling way worse stuff than MW2 for years and despite getting burned over and over again people get hyped every time a trailer releases. Cinematic trailers should be illegal, people just can't handle them.

Yea but you can have consumer protection laws. Usually i'd just not care because it's not my money that gets wasted, but since it affects the gaming industry as a whole i am affected by other people's stupidity, so might as well try to protect them.

DICE has been pulling way worse stuff than MW2 for years....

I can't think of a single CoD game since MW2 that has been as good as any of the BF series in the same timeframe (I'm choosing to pretend that Battlefront doesn't exist).

I'd argue that BO1 and BO2 are both better games than any BF since BFBC2. With BF4, BFH and Battlefront i am sure, with BF3 i'd say it depends on the stage of the game. Early BF3 was such utter trash that BO1 and BO2 both beat it with ease, late stage BF3 i'd probably go BO1 > BF3 > BO2. MW3 had its moments if you accept it as the trash it is and make the most of it. But the last 3 iterations of the franchise i'd definitely consider on the lowest level, it's just that BF4 and BFH share that same level for me. When a game is so bad that even if you treat it like garbage you can't have a laugh it has hit rock bottom, i don't rank games anymore once they've hit that level.
And that's just gameplay. In terms of bugs and monetization there's no doubt that DICE has pulled worse stuff.

Don't get me wrong I still played many hours of BO 1+2 as well as MW3 due to playing them with friends, but personally I always preferred playing BF:BC2 and BF3. As for Ghosts, AW and BO3 there's no comparison; I'd rather play BF4 any day.

I just want another Bad Company game. 1 and 2 were my favorite FPS games and are waaaaaaaay better than any FPS game out today that gets hyped up. Don't know why EA/DICE won't go back to this series... was a huge hit for a reason.

BFBC2 is my favorite casual FPS of all of time. CoD4 is also one of my all time favorites, if not my all time favorite (if you include mods), hence when a new CoD or BF releases it just hurts to see how terrible they are, i don't even feel like gloating. It's like watching a good friend becoming a crack addict.
I couldn't get any enjoyment at all out of BF4. Usually when a game is bad i just load up TDM and go pub smashing, that keeps me entertained for a couple of hours, but not even that was enjoyable to me in BF4. I end up with 3+ KDs and i'm still annoyed. The same applies to AW and BO3 though, Ghosts i haven't played, but i heard enough horrible stuff to not bother.

No but it's the series and the series is awesome. Loved the campaigns, while plot was ok, it was great due to the characters. If they took BC2 and resold it as 3. I'd still buy it. I don't want them touching anything...
