Battlefield 1 launch maps and game modes

I've heard from many places that this game isn't very highly ancticipated and that it will most likely fail.

"I've heard".. really? That's entirely opinion.
This is pretty anticipated. Haven't seen anything else to prove that wrong. It's actually a step forward for BF. Much better in the brief time I have played it than anything since BF3(although bc2 was far better)

I have no idea what you mean by "I've heard", yes, I've heard several people think that this won't be that successful. And therefore "I've heard" it.

"It's actually a step forward for Bf"?... You may think that it's a step forward for Bf.
It's not a fact nor what everyone else thinks.

In my opinion, I've pretty much only ever played Battlefield and in my opinion, this feels odd and like a step back in my opinion. If they had released this back around 1942 time, then it would have made more sense to me. Since that is also focused on older warfare.

Going from Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4, which is modern combat, and now back to this?... Nah, don't like it.

FYI, this is entirely my opinion :)

And your opinion in this case is wrong, in my opinion (and I imagine most other people's opinion too).

The game looks, plays, feels and is generally better than both bf3 and bf4. The visuals are on point, the gameplay is good, it's a total return to form in terms of the way the game modes and maps are laid out(at least from what I've seen in the beta), for example the different areas of the map are just that, the sight lines between capture points are blocked by either elevation or terrain which is a HUGE step forward.

'people' have asked for a return to an older 'era' in terms of the combat, granted most wanted WW2 but WW1 isn't a terrible choice. It's not stuck to a web-platform server browser, which while a technical marvel, is NOT how you should setup server browsers. AND it's going to pull in and unite BF3 and BF4 in that too, it's already got placeholders for those games in the menus.

It's step forward for the franchise in just about every way. EXCEPT this stupid "you can only get a server from DICE directly" That right there is BS.

So to summarise, I have no idea where you're getting your information, but to be frank, they don't sound like they know what they're talking about. Besides price and server stuff, this game is probably going to be yet another blockbuster.

Played the beta, feels okay, nothing special but not bad either, though the bullet sizes of in the distance from anti air, planes and that train looked horribly oversized, kinda killed the immersion a lil bit.

That said, i wont be buying it, i was expecting a lot more horses and a lot more chaos, but its feels like any other battlefield in that there can only be this number of x to do stuff with and that old formula needs to go!
