This has been bugging me for a while but I've never really done anything about it. I have my 3570K overclocked to 4.5GHz 24/7 and it's completely stable. Problem is my base clock, although is set at 100 in the BIOS, shows up to be lower than that in CPU-Z.
Here's a screenshot of the CPU-Z window with this overclock:
Also, today I went for 5GHz on this chip with my new water loop, and I was able to get a validation off while the multiplier was set to 50 and base clock to 100, but it came out to 4.98GHz, not the infamous 5GHz. Is this a normal thing, and if not, what can I do?
