Backplate

Would this backplate fit onto my GTX570. I have > http://www.msi.com/pic/product/five_pictures2_20101207152323.jpg < that GTX570 and > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NVIDIA-EV..._Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item3f1d916dc0&_uhb=1 < is that backplate ? Would this fit or would it not fit on ?

dario,
yes, it'll fit. because it is a reference PCB. the aftermarket hot cards it what you'd
have issues with, because of the placement of the circuitry is different. as with
waterblocks as well.. reference boards have waterblocks available.

might aid cooling the memory a little if there are chips on the back, but it's mostly for structural rigidity and aesthetics.

OK, so turn out this didn't fit on my card, it over hanged and the screw hols never lined up on all of them either

Even I would have assumed it would fit. Saying that there were a few version of the 570 iirc

I assumed it would fit aswell, It was only £8 anyway If anyone needs one they can have it if they pay the postage.
