It really hasn't snowed much down here. Today was the first day it has "really" snowed this year. Stuck on cars, but that's about it.

I believe 7623 is a big GPU WU, and with only 96 shaders it's going to take awhile.....

The gpu is going quick contrary to what I thought. What's weird is my cpu decides how fast it wants to go when it wants. I put it in high performance mode and sometimes it's 2.8ghz and others it's 2.5. I have no idea why it does that, but it sure is annoying.

I think it's something to do with that. I found software called "throttlestop" which allows overclocking of laptop cpu's. I just forced it to 2.8 and left it. Plenty enough for me.

Yeah, throttlestop should make sure the cpu is always at the maximum Turbo speed that current and heat will allow.

On my i5 2410m without throttlestop it will turbo upto 2.7ghz but then, like you said, for strange reasons, it can go down and back up again.

I couldn't find what caused it, but I stopped looking after throttlestop fixed the issue.
