Hi guys,

Recently I posted a new thread on my Project Isolation and today I have a new build log for a project I am calling AZUL which simply means blue in Spanish and I needed a name that sounds cool in English :)

So I give you AZUL, a modded system in the Bitfenix Aegis case!

I would like to thank Bitfenix for providing me with the case and other accessories as well as ASUS Australia, Bitspower, HyperX and CableMod!

I will update the specs once I know everything is confirmed. To start, here's a look at the case before the action happens and as the translation of the name suggests, the case is blue!

Hi guys,

I have a quick update for you! I painted some of the case pieces white to change the appearance of the case a bit! Colour scheme will be blue, white and some black that is left over.

Just have to wait for them to fully cure before mounting them back to the case :)

When I first saw the case the Black with Blue really made my teeth itch, but the white really does carry it off, props to you for that. I'm intrigued to see where you're going with the front cut out now.

Thanks a lot mate! I'll have something custom made in the front. Hope I manage to pull it off :)

Hi guys,

It's been a while but I think I'm ready to start working on this project again and hopefully finish it this time!

I've just been busy with work and other projects this kept getting pushed aside.

Let's kick of the progress with some acrylic panels that I have added to the case as well as the vinyl work done to them!

Also if you can see I now have a clear windowed panel on the front however more work will be done to that.

Be wary those fans, I had a box and over half of them failed (tho they were pre-LED models, maybe they've improved) :( Other than that, nice build so far dude

Everything I have had from Bitfenix so far has been junk. The Survivor was awful. Twisted thin rubbish. The fans in it were junk too, they used to wobble where the blades were not straight and one hit my 8 pin wire, shredding the blade off.

The Colossus wasn't much better either, though at least the inner chassis was more substantial. The outer shell was junk though, very thin plastic. It looked great in photos but touching it wasn't very pleasing.

It seems that they design these incredible things to look at then have them made as cheaply as they can.

This doesn't look much better really. Thin plastic and the inner chassis looks thin also. Still, I love this shade of blue and the mods are making it look better.

I think the front panel needs some attention though. The cut lines look a little rough and it appears there is some sort of clouding around the clear panel at the top? might just be the pics.

While I'm not struck with the case design, I love the blue, and with the white mods, I'm sure this is going to look great!

Nice work mate.

Thanks mate :D

Thanks mate! I've used them before and they were always good and I know people like Snef used Spectre Pro's, hope I don't have any issues with them :)

Thanks mate! This is the second time I use Bitfenix, the first was the Prodigy which is an awesome case. It does feel cheaper than other case brands but then again pricing isn't too crazy. This is a sponsored build which I started towards the start of this year. I'm pretty happy with everything so far but I can see where you are coming from. Before this my only other Bitfenix case was the Prodigy in which I did my Vault Boy case mod. It was my very first mod which means a lot to me :D

And yes, more works is needed on the front panel, not finished with it yet as you will soon see :)

I'm blue dubadee dubadie........sorry couldn't help myself but looking good!

Hahaha awesome! Thanks mate :D
