AVerMedia delivers the world's first 4K and 240Hz video capture solution

At 500e you must really benefit from streaming...... For one that is not a pro gamer or streamer or content creator then at this price point it is for the very few.

$500 to spend on capturing video at a quality NO ONE will watch it at?

I have a Magewell Pro Capture Quad, and when I stream at 1080p60, less than 1% of watchers use that quality (according to YouTube metrics). Either, they watch on their phone at lower quality, or they don't have the bandwidth for 1080p60.

Oh yes the good old "It doesn't apply to my situation thus this product is irrelevant."!

This is clearly meant for content capture, not live streaming. Nothing supports 1080p@240fps, BUT it does let you do some rad 4x slow mo edits from your 10 000$ rig PC gaming Epic Gamer footage.

External 4K 60fps, is amazing in a day an age where content creators can capture their own footage at E3 or private events.

Obviously, you will be able to livestream with this, at MOST, this will let you supersample your 4K to your viewers in 1080p, which is also a pretty nice feature by the way.

All of this is obviously granted that you have the laptop that can drive that encoding. I don't think content creator will start carrying PC towers and monitors at E3.
