My X1900XT idles at 50ºC. It was hitting over 80ºC on load aswell (according to the sensor).

I have since edited the BIOS tho so the fan actually gets used.

I think most of the new cards idle at quite a high temp.

phew cheers guys

all this heat scares me lol

it's a new rig, so still trying to tweak it etc to get the best cooling possible

ya i been doing alot of research on 1950pro they run hot as heck watch those temps. In saphire fourms when cards got to hot they died but most were doing like 90+ and idleing around 70c. Some said thier heatsinks were loose were told to check the screws and tighten them down.

Ive had a sapphire card with a poorly fitted HS with way too much TIM. And a second sapphire ( same model ) that took serious tightening to get proper contact.

your all scaring me now!

seriously though, i will keep an eye on it, and i will try and create more of a vent for the gpu, maybe get a pci exhaust fan, or remove a backplate next to the gpu

looks like i am going to be builing this rig from the ground up again.

gotta sort the airflow out

lol i got a sapphire x1950 pro and it runs great!

idel around 47, gaming around 60. The max iv seen it go is 75 and thats at 50% fan speed.
