ATI Schedules 45nm Production At TSMC For 2008

Apparently, ATI are happy with the current yield results on the 80nm node, and the recently commenced 65nm process. As a result they are now looking toward to the next size reduction. Feel free to comment on the news article below...

Yeah but the thing is that if a gamer wanted two of these in crossfire mode they couldn't due to the fact that ati have put a stupidly big heatpipes and heatsink on it

cooler has potential for overclocking though :D
 
That's actually GeCube's cooler for the X1950 Pro, which utilises the current 80nm process. As Kemp said, 45nm should have a substantially smaller one ;)
