The eyefinity version i doubt will be a big hit unless it's for people with more money than brains :P.

mhmm i wonder how long till/how much the 5890's are going to cost, im going for single best (sod 2 lower ones i made that mistake with my 4850's) once i upgrade from my soon to be 4890 around feb march time hopefuly ill have the money for the 5890/new nvidia cards

Matrox will be happy :p

6 screens would be awesome, and pretty do-able as a project for some1 with the balls.

6x Dell 20" screens 2nd hand, <£600, one of those cards with min-dvi.

Strip the half-inch Dell surround from the cash and diy urself a surround that covers all of them together.

Maybe £800-£900 for a 6x20" setup. That doesn't sound too mad to me.

Is that on-par as long as physx is turned off ?

i dont think physX will make any kind of difference as many games dont support it, out of the 40 odd games ive seen been tested with the 5870 i only see two games with true physX support and the 5870 does pull ahead of the gtx 295, but only on the high resolutions + AA+ AF

Linkage, and we saying that tests are mainly done on non-physx games then ?

Apparently, having physx enabled on an nVidia card is against humanity as it gives them an unfair advantage, taking work away from the cpu.
