If you're fancying a Z370 motherboard but want it in a teensy form factor then the ASUS Z370i Strix might be the very chap.
ASUS Z370i Strix Gaming Review
Exactly the right question Tom. Why aren't there more ITX builds? Few generations back now ITX boards don't lack in performance, yet the builds are still ATX. Apart from my system every other that i have seen in person has only GPU in it, and no one is even considering ITX, or mATX. Also there aren't many systembuilders that are forcing ITX.
I’m on the AMD equilvent of this motherboard![]()
There would be far more ITX builds if SSD storage had matured to very large drives and being affordable. The reason I do not have ITX is because for the 4tb of storage I have it would cost me more than I paid for the entire rig. Now I know you can have a NAS etc but that all just adds extra expense.
How you liking it? My partner is on the B350 version and it's perfectly sound for what she does
It's been a long time since i last built a gaming rig but build a new one i did... using this very board as the base paired with an i5 8600K. Great piece of kit and with a basic AIO cooler it handles my 5ghz OC with ease. 512gb M2 drive, 1080ti hybrid, 32GB ram. Huge spec, tiny footprint, great thermals... and i got to reclaim a load of real estate on my desk too.
In fact, it is such a potent package my dad has asked me to build him a slightly scaled down system in a Phanteks Shift case, as he loves the design, and has caught the first person shooter bug from me.
Phanteks Shift case.
