Asus Xonar D2X or D2 ?

Not really any difference no, only the PCIE interface.

I wouldn't buy anything PCI anymore though. Motherboards are losing support for it nowadays - most of the high end boards don't even have them anymore, so just go for the PCIE.

To be honest though, It isn't really worth the cost over the DX.

Thanks for the reply, Both are actually the same price so I'll just go for the PCI-E version :)

I don't even think Haswell was supposed to have any PCI slots anymore but apparently some manufacturers added it anyway for those with old expansion cards.

I'd go fit the D2X as well.

Just ordered the D2X PCI-E, My X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Pro was starting to sound faulty, tried it in my dads rig and it didn't work properly there either.
Heard good things about Asus cards, Night and day difference between Creative and Asus apparently :)

Yeah same here, was actually thinking of buying a Gryphon with a D2x and the armour, but it would be so much more expensive than a G1 Sniper m5 and meh... I don't have a high-end audio setup anyway :p

Enjoy your card :)

The Asus cards are built a lot better yes.

You'll be pleased with it. There is next to no difference other than aesthetics between the D1/DX and the D2X/D2
