ASUS X99 Rampage V Extreme Revealed!

Is anybody else concerned about the width for that M.2 slot on the side? The length seems sufficient, and I like that it's not perpendicular to the board like the Deluxe, but the width seems like it might be tight.

i dont see why the rampage extreme boards are classed as a gaming boards they are way to much of a board just to play games on

They are build for people that have endless money.

Also for sake of ultimate fps you can get.

This looks awesome! It's great to see the Rampage being brought into line with the styling of the Maximus boards and I think it's a very striking job with just the right amount of bling.

I will most likely never own one but I hope to see some magnificent builds using it.

I'm surprised, that they didn't bring the dual colour pcb over from the Hero, that was one of the sexiest things about the last range of ROG boards.

I like it, but a few games, lightroom, word and the odd powerpoint creation don't really justify that sort of expenditure. whilst I'm in between rigs the pentium anniversary is doing everything I actually need from a PC perfectly fine. A 4 core I7 broadwell for Elite is probably the limit for me really.

I don't know why they bother with that OC panel thingy. It'll be good to see TTL chuck it around when it comes to the inevitable unboxing and review.

Love the look and the colour oddly i'm not usually for all the RED/Black stuff but I think this might warrant a theme change in my RIG

i'm practically nursing a semi just looking at it

(MSI bias aside) I think it looks OK but not great. Perhaps one of the worse looking Rampage boards in years.

That loaded up with a bunch of EKWB original CSQ Clean blocks will look amazing. I'm surprised it's only an ATX the RIVE and R4BE were both E-ATX.

well, it looks like a heatsink because it is one

If you put blocks on the board that will no longer be an issue as you'll cut that heat pipe off just like I did with my R4BE.

At this time, the one that I really like is the X99 Deluxe, second the Rampage and third the Maximus vii Formula with Devils Canyon.

Actually I think you're right, I just had a look at my r4be the layout and spacings are very similar.

I doubt we'll see the Rampage line get the Armor as that is one of the selling points of the Maximus series.
