just reading this now, but i just have to say this and the deluxe would be my go to boards for x99 as they're both so sexy

There aren't enough words for how right this is. Looking even better IRL too, it has something simple of the Rampage IV about it. No aesthetic frills but enough to let you know it's a high quality product. Doesn't even need reviewing, i'd buy that if it only ran stock clocks. Amount of power connectors says it all. Just the business.

Just needs the right dark themed case to bring out its wild side :p

Beautiful and about time for the mATX Asus! Fully agree with the author that the no-frills functional aesthetic is welcome over plastic shrouds and odd bits of color on hard to modify pieces.

Anyone heard any whispers if Skylake-E will be LGA2011-3 compatible? It's too bad with the lag that some manufacturers have been having between a generation release filled out with a bunch of ATX boards followed much later with other form factor options.

3 way Fury X with single slot waterblocks perhaps?

If I was in the market for a mATX rig I'd use this. WS boards are by far the best ASUS products (IMO) you can buy and are totally worth the extra you pay. I'll certainly be getting one come upgrade season.

Very nice, it is making me think about an M-ATX build instead of the E-ATX workstation board, either way, they are the best 2 looking Z99 boards available.

I want that board sooo bad.......and do you think I can find one anywhere?

F*** no......

Price seems legit.....

I will wait for someone on this shore for warranty reasons....and also because Amazon are scabs.....

I have one in a BitFenix Prodigy M and it's magnificent. Getting everything to work under Linux was a bit of a chore, well, not everything, just the wifi as I built it to be a system that was somewhat portable having the wifi be functional was very important. It actually wasn't that difficult once I figured out what I needed to do. Getting the GTX 980 ti Strix to work under Linux was more difficult. (I'm running dual-boot Win10 and Xubuntu, in case anyone is wondering.)
