now that's a board but sadly the 5820k wont get the full Potential out aof this board with its "only" 28 pcie lanes
still an awsome board

Nooooooooooo!

They have ruined it!!!

No PS/2, SHAME ON YOU ASUS!

Only usb3, why not include some usb2 ports on the back, i dont find that alle equipment work with usb3.

And why the hell boost the audio, who needs that on a WS card?

And lastly, no more super sexy brushed heatsink! :(

Even if I had the money I still would wait a good year or two because look at the horrible transitions between ddr->ddr2->ddr3 it was abysmal.

PS/2 is dead???
I still use a PS/2 keyboard. And MANNY other to, usb just isnt that good for keyboards!
Not many people here do.
Its a crap standard that should have been gotten rid of years ago. I've had so many f**king problems with it.

This is the nicest ASUS board of X99 series. PS/2 is the past, I hardly remeber when i used it last. I just using it for overclocking but for everyday i just use wireless or usb keyboard.

I hope someone can help me understand one of the features mentioned, is that the UEFI chip isn't soldered and is a socket removable chip, what does that mean? Does that mean you can pull out the chip that has the UEFI? Why would you need to? Are there any benefits to this?

I hope someone can enlighten me on this thank you.

So that the masochists can change it for a standard BIOS.
But really, I have no idea. I am wondering though what would be the max cost of the best components you could install on this board today.
