ASUS VS INTEL motherboard

Hello everyone. i want to ask which motherboard is better for intel E8400 processor?
ASUS P5G41T-M LX
or
INTEL DG41Wv

my use is gaming (dota and counter strike v1.6), design and simulations software and simple other uses. No GPU.

Both pretty much the same really, same intergrated gpu, same number of expansion slots..

I'd just go for the cheapest..... Although the Asus is a little prettier if your into aesthetics !!

Out of the two you're probably better off with the Asus board as Intel boards were always a bit pricey while not really offering anything special.

Do you already have your CPU though, cause with the uses that you've just mentioned you're not going to get very far with that chip. Especially gaming on the iGPU. As they are older games, they might work, but don't expect Full HD gaming.

Yea ofc i wont be playing HD games thats obvious but i would be considering a good gpu as soon as i get some cash in my hands..Thanks for the advice. Can you recommend any other asus motherboard with similar specs as this model as i could not find this model in my area..it supports DDr3 and core 2 duo processor.

Well that's good then. For those games something simple like an HD7770 or GTX 650 Ti will already get you massive framerates at 1080p even.

How much of the 'design and simulations software' are you planning to run? The CPU is pretty outdated by now.
