Today we're looking at the first motherboard that comes equipped with USB 3.1, the ASUS Z97-A. Does the extra bandwidth make a difference to storage speeds?
Rather amazing. I loved how even with turbo off, nearly the whole time it was still faster than any sata 3 alternative. Then turning it on was not even close. Though i'm sure with the maturity of the actual drives and sticks themselves progresses we should see more consistent and overall speed increases.
Cooler than a penguins love pocket! 5A @ 20v!? Crazyness and double the bandwidth..
Further to the USB-c thing, if peeps still can't get a simple USB into the slot they should probably not be allowed shoe laces either. It's not rocket science.

It's not rocket science or lazyness, it's fucking annoying! For a connection that you connect frequently not having to check which way it goes is convenient and a good thing. Embrace the change!
Had to add an edit after watching the video review - I hope it's true that adaptors will be supplied (not an optional extra) to change the USB 3.1 ports from A to C. Otherwise you'll have ports that are backwards compatible but not forward compatible once type C becomes the norm.
