Asus thermal radar question

Hey guys I just installed the asus ai suite which included thermal radar to see what its all about.

Now I am getting different readings from thermal radar than real temp.

In real temp under full load I am getting around 65C but on thermal radar it is saying its near 80C which is the correct one?

Why is one different to the other?

I'd say real temp is the correct one, the ASUS software isn't very accurate it used to tell me my motherboard was 120*c on my P8P67.

I would say real temp is correct, However the standard monitor program built into the AI suite is normally a dead match for what ever programme i compare it to.

Download OCCT and try that, I am loving this program at the moment.

Right guys,

Since my last post, I have modified the fan curves for the aux fans in ai suite and changed the h100 fans from intake to exhaust. Idle temps have dropped from 42/43C to 36/37C in real temp and in TR Vcore has dropped below 50C. On load the temps have gone from avg 68C max 71C to avg 66C max 69C. In TR Vcore goes to 72C rather than over 80C.

Now I don't know which one is correct but both realtemp and OCCT are reporting around the same temps, I think OCCT doesnt fluctuate as much as real temp.

In OCCT the temps are all below 67C, 67C is the max temp in the cores.

Any thoughts on that?

RealTemp reads CPU-Temp not Vcore!

RealTemp gets his data from the CPU-Cores itself,
while ThermalRadar reads the Temp under the CPU on the MoBo-PCB.
