Did they really needed to taint production platform with Gaming sh.t???? Cmon...

It is very strange, there must be some weird culture of people that cant buy a motherboard without that on the box :/

I think it's because most of this stuff sells to people who are gamers so they're afraid if they don't point it out at every opportunity it won't sell or something.

Yup, again with the "Gaming", which won't be any difference in gaming than any of the other boards without "Gaming" on them.

I do however, really like the subtle matt black/dark grey on the heatsinks. Really nice and sleek looking, very professional and mature as well :)

Hmm let me guess, £300+?

I've got a feeling X299 boards are going to start around £250 for the most basic model and ones like this will be higher in price.

If CPU is said as bad as "opaque couché" , then the board will be same

X-series platform is supposed as complete, worry-free solution unless you do extremes.

If the new CPUs for X-series use (All models) is said not cool as old models when in full-load, then may look like "opaque couché" depending on talks, in most of talks, tend to get rid of as soon as possible except some printings. I wonder why.

I really like Mark 2. It discrete. Silent but violent. ;)

Agreed :D and they usually OC just as good don't they? What pricing segment do they usually fall in compared with the other boards? It might be a contender for me if the price and OC capabilities are right.

And best of all...no "gaming" on it!!!

Oh yeah! They were on pair as RAMPAGE EXTREME all the time before. And the blessing of not having GAMING on it is worth the money alone.

That TUF is a really nice looking board. I prefer it to the Strix.

I like both this iteration, but the TUF looks more inconspicuous which I like. I'd hate it to be really expensive. You don't see many TUF boards in builds do you? How's the audio on these boards? Same chip and quality as on Strix models?

Solid audio is pretty much a given at this point in most motherboards. And as always if you want higher-end audio you're still better off with an external unit.
