ASUS ROG Xonar Phoebus

Republic of Gamers announces a new sound card aimed towards gamers without being bundled with a mobo. They claim that it will appeal to gamers as well as audiophiles(they misspelled audiophile in their article). Check it out.

In my opinion, it looks cool and it looks like something I would want. They showed a little teaser literally one day after I bought my Xonar DX =_=. I'm happy with my Xonar DX, but I'm sad that they're going to release something like this right after I got it. What do you guys think?

Looks good, but I don't get the idea of having the ROG brand on a sound card

Not a big fan of the cover tbh. Look's like cheap plastic to me. But if it's a good sound card I wouldn't be too worried about the looks given you won't be able to see the top anyway.

I don't think so that this will perform better than normal Xonar D2.

Yup, I agree. If they make a ROG sound card I think they should design another top end audiophile oriented sound card above the Xonar Essence STX. I wonder if this ROG sound card will be replacing the Xense?
