Asus rog swiftt pg278q

Their RMA's seem pretty good too considering they replaced all of yours which had not technically failed according to the warranty.

JR

I got sent 3 monitors each with flickering, Many dead/stuck pixels and 1 of them was actually covered in dirt, Yeah brilliant QC.

You wouldn't would you.

Nigh on everyone who has one has had dead/stuck pixel problems.

Dice don't start this up again, we already established your sample size doesn't mean "nigh-on everyone". It means, some people you know, NOT 'ermergerd erverywern'

Seriously not starting anything how about you don't start today is not a good day to start throwing around accusations dude. I'm simply conversing with Chrazey until JR commented.

As I have conversed many times already with Chrazey about the Swift and warned him away from it due to inevitable dead/stuck pixels that these suffer from.

Many friends in work had problems with the Swift like the ones I mentioned, the OCUK forums has a nigh 200 page thread mainly filled with people reporting faults like the ones I had aswell and then there's the Asus forums which nearly every 2nd post in the monitor section is about a faulty Swift.

So I have to state yet again, it's not just me.

So I have to state yet again, it's not just me.

And someone has to state yet again, that forums are not representative of the entire user base of a product. Complaints are always loudest, satisfied customers rarely if ever (unless already there) go on forums to tell the world what an amazing experience they had. That's what makes it so difficult to really get a feel for it, people who have had a crap time, shout the loudest, yourself for example.

You've had a really bad experience with the swift, so you tell everyone.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Razor products, you haven't, you sported their logo for a time. you were a satisfied customer, I wasn't.

Razor are still around (unfortunately) and are obviously not doing badly despite the rubbish products they sell.

Equally, Asus are still selling monitors so if it truly was that bad, something would change..

I'm just trying to put the 'evidence' into perspective, and into some kind of proportional correctness in the 'grand scheme' of things. The negative reviews are always more shouty and loud and higher in number than those that are satisfied, always. That does not make the representative of the entire product.

I say again, It's not just forums it's people I work with and other close friends who have had the same experience.

Yes dice I got that, read my post again.

Perhaps you'll get what I'm trying to say eventually, perhaps not. Perhaps you're looking for another reason to get your panties in a twist with someone and afk the forums for another few months. Perhaps not.

I'm done trying to get you to understand what my point is, I 100% understand you, and your buddies, and your other regular forum and it's forumites have had issues, but that still doesn't represent more than probably a 5% to 10% of the userbase of the product, if that.

I'll avoid this thread to let it get back on track shall I

Love the way you love to rile people up then act the victim when they reply, Classic SuB XD

Whatever I'm off for a bit, I'm not the only one who's grown a little tired of your "lording" attitude.

Rich coming from you.

What adult man talks and acts the way people like him do to other people just because they have admin rights and can ban people as well as hunt their info down online ?

None, Certain attitudes need to be adjusted dude, I talk with a few people outside the forums that also have the same mind set and aren't happy with the attitudes of the "higher ups".

Sorry, but the majority of fights on here are You VS Someone at the moment. Its pretty tiring. Whenever someone disagrees with you, you go on a massive offensive and seem to be determined to prove them wrong in whatever way possible. When they counter the point (in this case, the issues that you seem to be using a small sample of people to prove the swift is a completely broken monitor) you change the subject into a thinly veiled personal attack or try and sabotage the discussion.

While some members on here are more 'fighty' than others you're by far the biggest cause at the moment, which is a shame as you weren't always like that. Perhaps some time off here is the best for you as things seem to be a little standoffish at the moment.

The reason for my hostility is simply having attitude thrown at me, I'm fine with being proven wrong as long as it's in a mature manner i.e not telling me I have my panties in a bunch etc....as it educates me but when unneeded attitude and insults are thrown into the mix that is something which gets anyone miffed off and if having insults thrown at someone because el moddo wants to get his/her point across then I'm out as that is not conducive to a good environment.

In all honesty, I'm quite young (turning 22 in November) and ALL of this is childish, this is not aimed at anyone particular.

I mean why even argue about it guys?... this thread is for discussion regarding the monitor "ASUS ROG Swift", I understand your point SuB, but why compare it to other monitors they sell?... It, nor they, have clearly nothing that relates to the Swift itself, which this thread is about.

And yes, I can honestly say that Dice did warn me for this monitor... but you never know the experience of something untill you've tried it yourself. And since the store said that they've never experienced something like this, in this thread, which I mentioned to them... I went ahead and tried it. And unfortunately, I was one of the unlucky ones, which got one with 1 dead pixel at the moment.

And again, unfortunately, that link MadShadow I believe posted, didn't work. Thanks though for the tip mate, was a worthy shot!

Now, a bit off topic here, sorry mods, hope you don't mind.

But in relation to this monitors specifications... do you guys know any other monitor that has a respectable response time, is 27" 1440p ?... doesn't need to be 144Hz, but preferable and highly preferable having G-Sync. Due to being owner of an 980Ti.

Lastly, to end this post... I did not write this to start an fight or whatever. Anyone and everyone is more than welcome to argue on this post, that is what a forum is about.

But as far as my saying on all of this bs, if I may say so, I've said it. It's pretty sad seeing adult men, older than me and I'm sure way more mature than I am... talking like this to each other :(

Thank you,
Chrazey

This seems like a good moment to shout at everyone to shut up and let the thread continue in a civilized manner about the monitor, not other people's actions or their reasoning.

@Chrazey, I'm going to change my Swift for an Acer Predator UB270 I think it is called.
It has the same specs as the Swift but with an IPS panel (which brings 4ms response time with it I bet)

I'll have it tested in two weeks time if you can wait that long :)

Well Dead pixel/Stuck pixel or not, I had one which is luckily fixed. The monitor is still outstanding in my eyes. I don't think I will change it at all.

Obviously there are monitors now that can seriously compete with the quality of the Swfit but thats competition for you. The negative side of the monitor was the price, but that is what you get if you want to be ahead of the game.

I would still recommend the swift to other people, but even now I would say there are far more options available. The next step in the market is a more open market on monitors which house both Gsync and Freesync. I have a feeling these will become the norm soon.
