Now don't spit on it again Chrazey xD
You'll notice it when you get a freaky pixel, don't worry![]()
If you can see it when the monitor is off, then it's dirt.
JR
Thanks for the tip JR!
I kinda had that feeling, as when I tested the pixelbuddy, it showed on all of them... which as far as I know a dead pixel won't show the same density on all. Or am I mistaken here?...
If it wasn't for my horrendous dead and stuck pixel experience I'd still have the Swift, Great gaming experience.
But I'm not paying £650 for flickering and 1 new dead/stuck pixel appearing per day.
For those who get panels that don't have problems I can honestly say I am very jealous, In a good way though![]()
Ahh got ya dude... would probably be the same as you on that part
Well I've got mine now, for like a week or so?... and been solid so far. Had my first gaming session last night with the Swift and 980Ti. Were a bit of hassle and adjustments, but once done, 144Hz with a solid 144FPS in Battlefield 3 on High at 1440p... at first it was kinda straining on the eyes, but after a while it was like the thing.
I don't think I can go back to the normal 1080p, non G-Sync and 144Hz. It's awesome, so smooth!![]()
To my eyes the difference on G-Sync wasn't really that big, For my eyes personally the biggest difference is 4K.
Now if someone can bring out a 4K IPS monitor with G-sync that would be quite awesome.
I know Asus are but it's under the ROG branding and there's no way I'm ever paying ROG tax again plsu I want something neutral in design ^_^
Ofcourse the dream panel would be 4k - ips - 32 inch - gsync/freesync - light AG -120 -144hz - ulmb/blur reduction -
1 to 5ms response time - ~800 euros.
for now, thats just a dream![]()
Well... mine has developed either a dead pixel or a stuck one, not sure which one it is nor the difference between them. But it's a tiny black spot, on all of those different colours, except for black, on the link that Dice posted a few pages back.

Welcome to the world of Swift dead pixels ! ^_^
My so called stuck pixel was fixed. Cycled the colours around for about 15mins and off it went.
I used this http://www.jscreenfix.com/
Tried that and many other variations but it just got worse, The QC with these monitors is terrible.
