Asus rog swiftt pg278q

Fixed.

Cheeky git, Jokes aside though 7 people in total in my work including myself have all had problems with the Swift ranging from dead pixels, Stuck pixels, Flickering and G-Sync unit failure.

When it works it's a beautiful monitor but Asus rushed it out the door and used inferior panels hence so many people having problems.

Inferior to what? There are more expensive monitors from higher regarded manufacturers and OEM's with far worse QC issue's than the Swift. Considering it's not a professional monitor the uniformity and colour accuracy have been good on the samples i've seen. I'm not blindly defending it because I have one, many monitors have problems that affect some users, the Swift is one of them. But when you consider it's a gaming orientated product not a pro grade IPS with a mental price tag it has exceeded my expectations in many area's.

It doesn't feel like a rushed product to me at all. It was the first product to include G-Sync and the first 144Hz 1440p monitor to market, it could of gone SO much worse.

Everyone I know personally has had problems with it hence it was rushed mixed in with poor QC, If it wasn't rushed there would be no problems.

You've been lucky but the majority haven't, I've seen countless threads on OCUK, Asus, Guru, OC.net all complaining about the poor quality control.

Hell even a mate of mine who runs a small PC shop in Berlin refuses to stock the Swift anymore as the first 3 months he had it in over 70% of the stock came back due to issues with dead pixels etc...

You watch, now I've said its been flawless it's going to go dead pixel crazy lol
What's the warranty on the Swifts again? Aha

3 years, Asus do a direct replacement service but you will get a refurbished model which in actual fact means you get someone else's RMA.

They play round robin with them, Literally just passing off faulty ones as "Refurbished".

One of the "Refurbs" I got was covered in dirt, Stunk of smoke and came with flickering and dead pixels, Was disgusting.

Most of the people I know in work got refunds on their Swifts and are waiting on a more reliable model.

I only know of maybe 2 people that haven't had problems, But they will.

Well im still happy with mine. There is 1 pixel hidden by the task bar but nothing else at all. Its actually not noticeable even when searching for it.

Mesa Happy still

I thought you worked in a Gym. Finding 7 colleagues who are all into PC gaming and buying Swifts is like next to impossible to come across ;)

All of my colleagues are heavily into gaming dude, My boss games across 3 x 4K screens ^_^

Training then gaming, It's the only way to live :D

Well I got a bright pixel within the first day of use, positioned 10cm from the bottom and 20cm from the right, in full plain sight. Can't see it when gaming but it bothers me like crazy when browsing and regular desktopstuff. As I don't want refurbs I'm going with the Acer predator, waiting for it to get stocked atm :)

I have just got the Acer Predator XB270HU, you will not be disappointed, got mine about a week ago and so far this thing rocks!

Only thing that puts me off is the round base and the orange looking swift copied light tingy on the base.

Yeah to be honest the base never left the box as I have duel desk mount, don't even know what it looks like other than the pics.

I'm actually waiting for a 4K IPS panel to come out with G-Sync that's not made by Asus, Just had too many bad experiences with all of the Asus panels I've owned.

After being at 4K for a few months now I seriously cannot go back to anything lower ^_^

Not tried the 4K did think about it but I am impatient, and after having my PLS panel would the to go back to TN.

I was almost going to wait until September to see what the specs were on the forthcoming 34" curved panels but I hear the getting 144hz is unlikely at the higher resolution.

I work with a few IPS panels, Well I do customer meal plans and routines on them but even when I come home the difference between the Asus 4K panel and the Asus 1440P IPS in work is honestly minimal, Even the viewing angles are as close to IPS without being IPS ^_^
