Asus ROG Ares III Dual 290X Watercooled GPU

I finally found one.
I had to go to a British site to do it, though.
I couldn't find one here in the US.
I did find one place that had already sold out.
When I converted the 1199.99 Euro's, it was the same price.
Just a fortune for shipping.
That's okay. Such a rarity is certainly worth the cost.
My updated sig shows the parts I have.
I hope the Corsair AX1500i can handle everything.
If not, then the Case Labs Magnum T10 can handle 2 power supply's.
Thanks for the preview on Facebook, Tom!
Here's the link to the store I used:

This card should have some led's showing off that red acrylic ARES name. But it doesn't.
The only lights on this card are 3 dim, white led's. Each above the power connectors.
That's all the light show that this card produces.
I guess those 3 are there to tell you if you have the power cables seated properly.
This ARES 3 and the 2 MSI RP 290X Lightning cards I have do this strange thing with my monitor.
They corrupt the font so it's generally unreadable.
I have people at several different forums trying to solve this problem, but nothing, so far, works.
I've tried taking a pic and posting it, but it always shows up as normal.
So whatever the problem is, is between these cards and my Dell U3011 monitor.
When I first install these cards, everything looks just fine. Then when I set the resolution to the monitors standard, 2560 x 1600, the corruption of the font begins.
There are several programs where the setting pages become totally unreadable. Generally, the entire range of the font looks fuzzy and, instead of solid black letters, the letters appear to be multicolored. Like a bad printing job where the print heads are misaligned.
Any ideas as to what may cause this with AMD cards would be much appreciated.
Also, when I replace these cards with Nvidia based cards the problem vanishes.
This is the strangest thing I've ever seen. I'm completely at a loss to even speculate what may be causing this.

These are the DP cables I bought:

I don't remember where I bought the DVI-D cables, but I've had no trouble with any of them until I installed these cards. And only with the 3 AMD cards I've tried.
No corruption at all with any of my Nvidia cards with these same cables.
Please recommend some cables and I'll be happy to try them.
BTW, when are you going to review the ARES 3?
I've searched Google and can find no reviews at all. Only previews.
Since there are so few of these cards, I imagine it would just be a waste of time and space to bother with a full review.

Very soon we will see 24-pin connectors for the PSU <-> graphics card.

Highly doubt it, The only reason the 295X2/Ares needs so much is because it's 2 x fully fledged 290X GPU's on 1 PCB so going from 2 connectors on each card down to 3 for both cards is a good technical achievement.

Oh, I'm sure they'll think of something. Like a J.J. Abrams type lens flares lighting for the gpu :)
