To me, it just seems like a waste of two 5.25" bays for things that can be done easily enough (and arguably more reliably?) in BIOS. Of course, what I've said may not matter much if the price is right but it would make sense for it to cost a lot given that it's part of the ROG family. It may seem as though it's being pushed towards those who have more money than sense but aside extreme overclockers and enthusiasts, that's who the ROG lineup often sells to. A little gimmicky, but it looks nicely put together (and should suit a few chassis') and should sell pretty well.

No doubt this will be added in to those pricey OEM systems from the likes of Alienware, BFG and others. I must admit, I would love to have a play about with one to see if they do actually make the task of overclocking much easier, but unless the pricepoint is right, I'll stick to the tried and tested method of the old faithful BIOS.

I like the idea of being able to tweak system settings without having to constantly reboot and jump into the BIOS, but I really wish companies would stop making bay devices that look like bloody car stereo's.

ASUS should have gone for something more 'premium' rather than an almost direct rip of Thermaltake / Zalman fan controllers that have been around ages,

I thought the OC Palm device bundled with the P6T's were a better compromise as it didn't need to be fixed to the case like the ROG OC Station, it's small and can be hidden away. Then again ROG is not about being discrete

What I'd really like to know is if it requires software/drivers to run, or if it interfaces directly with the Motherboard. That was the big downer for the OCPalm for me. You couldn't change any settings until the system had booted into Windows and OS's like Linux were not supported.

If it interacts directly with the motherboard, then that'll be something. For the amount of money that it'll likely cost, I'd hope it does.

If it costs the same as two drives which could fit in its place then maybe a decent buy but I seriously doubt it.

ROG hardware is getting more and more overpriced. But hey, we all still buy it.
