This is not a dual X299/LGA 2066 socket, this is a much larger beast.

An equivalent from AMD would be dual EPYC motherboard, not dual threadripper.

Yep LGA 3647 with 4x U.2, and it's beautiful!

It's certainly not cheap though. One 28-core Xeon Platinum 8180M CPU comes in at ~$13K alone.

Depends on what you consider "released"... =00=

One small side note to the article: This board does not support the Intel Xeon Platinum 8180M (or at least not the RAM type this CPU supports). It "only" supports 786GB per socket for a total of 1.5TB. So the Xeon Platinum 8180 for ~$10K it is. 8)
