Beautiful panel but not sold on the stand. Maybe when I see one in real life. At least it's Vesa mounting compliant :)

Now where's that organ donor form...

Seriously who hired Michael Bay's Transformer's design team when making this product...

Surprised there isn't some powty brunette bent over in front of it on the boxart showing her cleavage or something.

urgh..

Haha , I can 100% see that but I actually think it's really cool.

ah man things are getting expensive!!!!! i remember my 295(gtx btw) costing about 400 and that was well over the top. a grand for a monitor though, ouch. I need a new job, or a second job and a side line of drug dealing.

It might be getting expensive there, Here is getting uber expensive here atm i don't want to know what this monitor is worth when it comes out here.

Acer was around $1899 so I'm thinking this would be around the same.

If not more maybe $1999.00 ASUS seems to come in higher than Acer but only time will tell.

I don't like what they have done on the back of it.

Yeah close to $2k but it would last you a few years easily.

There it is boys $1999 https://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemId=621925 wouldn't mind having this one myself

Who would have thought that in 2016 you'd have to pay almost the same price as your entire high end PC, just for a monitor?

True but you get a lot of monitor for your money although that being said 1000 for an extra 7" and IPS over my 27" ROG is a bit of a steep curve

I watched this video, right as I was planning on buying the regular ROG Swift. I mean, this looks good, but damn monitors are starting to get more pricey than computers/components. :(

I have an idea for asus. Why don't they sell a stand and screen separately. I would buy a screen for 700$ and mount it on the wall with 10$ stand.

I have to admit that screen is a sweet piece of hardware, and I actually thought about getting one for a long time. But in the end I stuck with 16:9 and bought a PG279Q a second time (this time I got a nearly perfect one!).

I just think it's a bit early switching to Ultra-wide, maybe in a few years time...

I actually quite like the look of the stand except for the ROG light, but that's just asking for a mod - how about an OC3D logo instead? Would be quite easy with a blackout template.

I'm not much into the ROG branding and the detail at the back of the monitor is useless for the 99% of users, but thoughtful none-the-less.

Ultra-wide gaming with g-sync is where it's at. I'm lucky enough to have this monitor's competitor (Acer Predator X34) and have really taken to this aspect of gaming and monitor. The bow-tie effect I had at first with the curved monitor is now an afterthought and for non-gaming stuff work flow is actually better than my old Dell 30".

Good stuff in the monitor arena at the moment.

A small tangent if I may, but was someone wiping a booger on the desk around the 14:15 mark in the video?!
