Hi everyone. i have a pa238q from asus and i noticed on the spec sheet it states that the refresh rate is 50-75Hz. however in windows i can ony set it to 60Hz. Its not too much of a problem, its just more annoying that it is capable of more but i cannot get more. any thoughts on why this is and if there is anything i can do to increase refresh rate?

lower the res i had the same issue on my samsung when set at 1920x1200 i could only get 60hz max lower it to 1920x1080 and it went to 75hz.

sadly it went to monitor heaven when the backlight died 6 months out of warrenty :(

not sure what you monitors natives are but probably 1920x1080 60hz and 1650x1050 75hz will have too look at the spec sheet of it.

Thanks for the reply. my monitor is set to 1920x1080. in settings it only goes up to 60hz even with the "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" lef clear.

sorry to hear about your monitor leaving for monitor heaven, a tragic loss. typical that it happens just out of warranty tho.

i cant see anything about native res on the tech specs on the asus web page hear is a link http://uk.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/PA238Q/#specifications

ok lower the res to 1650x1050 and see if it lets you change the refresh rate in your gpus control panel. you can also use windows itself to change it but tbh it wont make any difference and your better off at 1080p...
