As a cosmetic side note it appears from various pictures I've seen of this monitor powered on, The ring at the base does not glow like the ROG Swift -

Are you thinking of getting one Dice?

Hell no, Never getting another Asus monitor ever again, Every Asus monitor I've had within the last few years has either had faults or a butt ton of dead pixels but I won't get into that.

I'm getting the BenQ XL2730Z :)

Just got the Asus MG279Q so glad I sold the rog swift and the colours are just to good, plays games butter smooth.

And you lost the G-Sync ability too, Bit of a side grade really from a gaming standpoint buying a Freesync monitor with an Nvidia GPU ^_^

Nope I don't see any difference mate at all my titan x sc runs this monitor great for games,in fact when I had the rog I found that running it without g-sync off made little or no difference at all.

I know you hate Asus as you had nothing but problems with your rog swift you where really unlucky with the QC of the monitors.

I don't hate Asus I just don't trust their monitors ^_^

Well as long as everything is working for you that's all that matters :)

What kind of sync you using with this screen for gaming? v-sync on/off or adaptive? I'm looking to acquire two of those MG279Q as well, even though I use nvidia cards. I don't give much for the current G-Sync hype...
