Asus Maximus VII Ranger vs. ASUS Z97-PRO (WIFI AC)

Do you guys have any thoughts about this?

Going to run with a i7 4790k, 16Gb 1866mhz cl-9 DDR 3 and an ASUS 780gtx 3GB.

My main use is gaming, so ofc the ROG is tempting, but I need some input from you guys! I'd really appriciate your help so just tell me which one you would go with and why?

Well then you don't really have a reason to get the Ranger unless you really want to have a red/black themed build. Personally if you'd want that I'd look at MSI's Gaming boards instead. All depends on budget.

Ya personally i try and stay away from Asus boards. MSI and Gigabyte seem to be the better option these days.
